I’m Maria (31) from Argentina. My first experience with yoga was when I was 25 and I attended to Ashtanga classes. However, to be honest, I knew nothing about Yoga at that time, I was just trying to imitate poses without understanding what was the truth behind Yoga. I ended up giving up a few months later due to the impossibility to get the postures. Still, there was something that caught my attention: the spirit of people involved in yoga. I wanted to discover by myself all I have learned and experienced in that short period. I wanted to be that peaceful, loving, compassionate, grateful person that I saw on my first yoga teacher.
I returned to practice two years ago and, this time, I started understanding from the bottom what was all about it. In May last year, I completed my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training in the place where it all started, India. It was a beautiful experience where I learned Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin Yoga, along with Pranayama, meditation techniques and, of course, the philosophy behind. It was just my first step, the beginning of my journey but enough to start teaching my friends and family from then.
