Starting with pranayama, this class involves many chaturangas to link other asanas to keep you moving. One movement, one breath. This dynamic flow style yoga emphasises strength, flexibility and endurance.
Experience a Kundalini Yoga class to wake up and shake up your cells, get your energy flowing and your aura glowing! Kundalini is known to be the energy potential inside all living beings, held at the base of the Spine. With Kundalini yoga the set of exercises aim to open and uplift this energy and distribute it throughout the body to be utilised for healing of the organs, the physiology, the mind, emotions and spirit. The class consists of Pranayama (breathing exercises), Yoga asana (postures), movements, chanting, relaxation and meditation. It is profoundly transformative, fun and the music is awesome! This is the ancient tantric meditation technique of the Himalayas. Rooted in deep yogic tradition, these practices begin with deep breath work - pranayama then pratyahara: the stilling of the senses and body. From there, we move through a series of meditative states toward vishokā jyotiṣmatī, as described in Yoga Sutra 1.36 - a luminous, grief-transcending state of inner light. You will learn the stages of samprajñāta samādhi, including vitarka, vicāra, ānanda, and asmitā - each representing subtler layers of meditative absorption. Ultimately, this meditation prepare you for the doorway to asamprajñāta samādhi (also known as nirbīja samādhi), the seedless state beyond thought and form. This path is not just about silence, it’s also about liberation.

The same original Bikram sequence of 26 postures and 2 breath techniques however some of the postures are only practiced once (as opposed to twice in the 90 minute class). The room won’t be heated to the typical temp (40 degrees) but will be a little toasty! Bikram yoga is ideal for those who are new to yoga as all of the postures can be modified to accommodate any level of fitness and/or injury. The sequence hones your concentration and focus and builds tremendous self-control and patience. The movements are slow and static. Depth and time in a posture is always relative to where your body is at, make this yoga accessible to everyone. An incredible practice for improved mental and physical strength, happiness, stress relief, weight loss and injury prevention. Hydration is critical – drink plenty of water before and after class.
Yin yoga is a meditative practice consisting of long held stretches without muscle tension, focusing on the deeper tissues of our body (tendons, ligaments, fascia) – strengthening, stretching and stimulating to encourage more flexibility and freedom of movement while simultaneously releasing deep tension of the body and relaxing the nervous system. Yin Yoga reduces stress while stimulating regeneration. We combine this with the soft and healing sounds of the crystal bowl and the gentle beat of the drum. You will float out of class!

Rest helps us to absorb the yoga and workshops, and to integrate. It is also something we might struggle with in the busy world we live in. This class will be an easily accessible class with slow, gentle and mindful movements to wake up the body, mind & soul. We will be practicing some gentle Hatha Yoga movements interwoven with longer held Yin shapes. The class will finish off with a longer Shavasana accompanied by Sound Healing with Tibetan Singing Bowls.

Based on the teachings and choreography of Paul and Suzee Grilley, Yin Yang Flow is a fun, creative way to explore both the yin and yang aspects of yoga in a well-rounded and thoughtful practice. Playful, flowing movements in this session are associated with the element water and are designed to get the Qi (or energy) moving around your body.This Yin-Yang Flow session will create stability in joints, strengthen and lengthen muscles and build endurance through the repetition of strong postures.This class is suitable for all levels, including beginners.
