Flora Burrell Ellery
Flora is a vinyasa yoga teacher who has used yoga as a tool for healing, joy, play, and coming home to herself and her body since childhood. Based in Wellington and raised between Motueka, Rarotonga, and the Western Bay of Plenty, her practice has been shaped by a deep connection to land, nature and community.
Alongside teaching yoga, she is a student midwife with a deep reverence for the mind–body connection, the divine feminine and the innate wisdom of the body and breath. Her teaching is holistic and values the interconnectedness of humans and the environment. She is passionate about creating spaces where people feel safe, respected, and supported to explore the full vastness of their emotional landscape—while also inviting joy and playfulness. Rooted in values of community, empathy, intuition, and sustainability, her classes encourage students to listen deeply, move intuitively, and connect with themselves and the land beneath them.
