Kalsang Tashi

Kalsang Tashi is a dedicated yoga and meditation teacher, as well as a highly accomplished scholar of Buddhist philosophy and literature. With a lifelong immersion in Tibetan Buddhist traditions and modern academic training, he brings a rare depth of insight to his teaching—bridging ancient wisdom with contemporary practice.

Kalsang holds a Master’s degree in Buddhist Literature from Savitribai Phule Pune University and a Bachelor’s degree in Buddhist Philosophy from Sera Jey Monastic University. His education is rooted in over two decades of rigorous study, including advanced training in Buddhist epistemology, psychology, Tibetan language and literature, and classical Sanskrit texts. He also completed his yoga teacher training at the Mysore Ashtanga Yoga School in India, integrating traditional yoga practices with his philosophical background.

With extensive teaching experience, Kalsang has served as a Visiting Faculty member at K J Somaiya Vidyavihar University and has taught Buddhist philosophy and classical Tibetan in both academic and spiritual settings across India and the West. Since 2019, he has also been guiding students in yoga and meditation, helping individuals cultivate mindfulness, inner balance, and mental clarity.

Fluent in Tibetan, English, Hindi, Sanskrit, and Chinese, Kalsang is also an accomplished translator and writer. His work includes translating “The Biography of Mother Teresa” into Tibetan and publishing articles on Buddhist philosophy and literature.

Kalsang’s teaching integrates philosophy, meditation, and yoga as a holistic path to well-being. His approach emphasizes mindfulness, mental health, and the practical application of ancient teachings in everyday life, offering students a grounded and transformative experience.
