My journey with Yoga has been an enlightening experience that has become a profound and necessary part of life. Whilst I have practiced and taught various sorts of Yoga from Hot power & Vinyasa flow to Yin and Restorative Yoga, in recent years I have found a real passion for trauma-informed somatic Yoga that primarily speaks the language of the nervous system to support mental and emotional health & wellbeing. This is where I feel as a teacher I make a real impact on my community leaving students with valuable tools for inner-resourcing to be able to hold themselves with compassion through the ebbs and flows of life.
My classes are an infusion of restorative yoga, applied poly-vagal theory, neuroscience, movement science, Traditional Chinese Medicine, psychosomatics, and traditional yogic philosophy. The primary intention for every class I teach is to support you to build loving awareness (opposed to shameful awareness), create a resilient nervous system, improve mobility to ease pain and discomfort, release tension in your tissues, and deepen your connection with mind, body, and breath.
