Kerryelle Bucknell

Kerryelle’s first dedicated exploration of a yoga sadhana was a 40 day challenge and it literally changed the course of her life. The biggest gift yoga gave her at that time, was a deep appreciation of what it meant to be truly present in her life amidst the most challenging of circumstances. Yoga also enabled her to reconnect body and mind after years of disassociation and has been pivotal in her healing and growth. Given that personal journey, she has a special interest in the connection between the mind, body and trauma, and the ability of yoga to be a tool in transmuting those energies.

A self-confessed nerd (and lifelong student!), Kerryelle has had the privilege of studying extensively in a variety of yoga traditions completing 200hrs in both vinyasa and traditional hatha yoga as well as 300hr trainings in yoga therapy with yoga medicine’s Tiffany Cruikshank and traditional kundalini hatha with Octavio Salvado and the team of the Practice Bali. She has also completed many other trainings with teachers such as Yogarupa Rod Stryker, Shiva Rea, Clare Lovelace and Jasmine Tarkeshi.

Kerryelle is also a functional nutritionist and is continuing her love of learning with further studies in naturopathy. She believes a holistic approach to healing is where the magic lies – the blend of ancient wisdom with modern scientific knowledge, that respects and reveres the balance of mind, body and spirit! She is so excited to come home to Aoteaoroa to share these transformative teachings.
