Mark Russell

I have been practicing yoga for more than 20 years. I first arrived on my yoga mat seeking to improve my flexibility after a life-time in martial arts . . . but stayed for the really important reasons!  I have completed more than 750 hours of yoga teacher training; most recently a 300-hour Trauma Informed Movement Facilitator course, and I have also assisted with yin teacher training. I have a strong focus on offering trauma-informed yoga, creating brave spaces where everyone is welcomed and valued. I currently lead classes at one of Wellington’s leading yoga studios as well as offering free community classes in Wellington’s vibrant and diverse Aro Valley
