Mira Aaltonen

Kia ora – Namaste – Hyvää päivää!

Mira Aaltonen is a Finnish yogi, artist, environmental anthropologist, and researcher whose work is deeply inspired by the connection between movement, nature, and embodied awareness.

Her journey with movement began in childhood through ballet and dance, igniting a lifelong fascination with the relationship between the body, movement, awareness, and creative expression. After more than a decade of personal yoga practice, Mira completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training in Rishikesh, India, where she immersed herself in traditional yoga, pranayama, philosophy, and embodied practice.

Drawing inspiration from traditional yoga, dance, and the movement patterns found throughout nature, Mira guides students to cultivate strength, mobility, and body awareness through mindful, flowing movement. She believes that discipline and playfulness can coexist, creating space for curiosity, confidence, and authentic self-discovery.

Mira’s classes invite students to slow down, reconnect with themselves, and experience the joy of movement. Her intention is for every participant to leave feeling a little stronger, freer, and more grounded than when they arrived.
