Sheryn Canter

Sheryn is passionate about helping people establish a daily meditation practice. She teaches Vedic meditation, an easy mantra-based technique that provides deep rest. This helps you to feel calmer, reduce stress levels, have more energy and get the most out of life.

Sheryn learnt Vedic meditation to manage stress from years of working in demanding corporate jobs. Within two weeks, she felt calmer, slept better and felt less stressed at work. Over time, her memory improved, her mind was clearer, and she could focus more easily. She became more resilient and adaptable and felt happy for no apparent reason most of the time.

She wanted everyone to experience these benefits, so she trained for over 2000 hours over many years to become a teacher. This included 12 weeks of learning from the best teachers available while living in the foothills of the Himalayas in India. Sheryn was personally trained by Maharishi Vyasanand Saraswati Thom Knoles, the pre-eminent authority of Vedic meditation, and received the blessing and recognition to teach by Shri Shri 1008 Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Kailashanand Giri, the supreme authority of the Shankaracharya tradition.
