Sheryn Canter

Sheryn loves nothing more than seeing her students enhance their lives through a daily meditation practice, as it’s been such a life-changing experience for her. She teaches Vedic meditation, a simple mantra-based technique, which is practiced for 20 minutes twice a day, while sitting comfortably.

Having tried many styles of meditation over the years, but not seeing lasting benefits, Sheryn was hopeful that Vedic mediation would be different. Within 2 weeks of completing the course she noticed herself becoming calmer, more emotionally stable and less reactive to stressful situations in daily life. Over time, work became easier as she felt more productive, and relationships with family, friends and colleagues improved. She became happier and highly adaptable to life’s challenges, big and small.

After practicing a number of years, Sheryn decided she had to share what she had learnt to help others. Training to become a Vedic meditation teacher is rigorous, with over 2000 hours of advanced courses and an intensive 12-week residential programme in the foothills of the Himalayas in North India. Sheryn was personally trained by Maharishi Vyasanand Saraswati Thom Knoles, the pre-eminent master of Vedic meditation, and graduated with special blessings and endorsement from Shri Shri 1008 Swami Kailashanand Giri, supreme authority of the Vedic world.

Sheryn works with people of all backgrounds who have one thing in common: they are committed to seeing whether a daily meditation practice can make a difference to their lives. She loves teaching them this simple practice, supporting them to integrate it into their lives and seeing the positive changes it brings.
